As shown in results from unconditional model analysis the level of social participation of middle and old people living alone decreases every year while the decline trend weaken as the age increase. It implicates that the early intervention in the resulting career break is necessary for elderly people who have already experienced retirement. From conditional model analysis results the higher level of social participation is related to the higher education the higher cognitive function and the higher number of meetings with close people while the higher level of depression is indicated the lower level of social participation.
